Chess Club/Games- Stimulate your child's mind by having them join the chess club!  Students will develop logic and reasoning skills practical in real life situations. This includes the ability to see a step ahead, make predictions, and make plans for the future. Your child will enjoy learning chess with our experienced instructor. Students will have the opportunity to compete in tournaments with other players! Games-From Monopoly to Mouse trap, students are introduced to a range of traditional and non traditional board games as well as a varity of card games. As players roll the dice and pick a card, they will strengthen teambuilding skills as well as strategic and critical thinking.

Math Wizards/Reading/Vocabulary-Additional academics in the afternoo, to help children with their addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, reading and vocabulary.

Arts and Crafts- Children may make a craft daily and have access to different art materials to create their own masterpieces.

Description of our Unique Activities

Water Ballet- Water Ballet is a beautiful sport which teaches aquatic skills, grace, poise, coordination, self-confidence, self-discipline and reinforces the idea of loyalty/respect to the team and coaches. It is also super fun! There are two performances- one demonstration and one performance with music as part of the program. The class is free of charge, however each girl will receive a swim suit and team sweatshirt for a small fee.

 Dance-  dancing is an ideal way to express one's creativity and an excellent aerobic exercise as well. Not only will the children have fun, they will be developing cardiovascular health as well as muscle development. One Performance.

Two Over Night Camp Outs- Over Night Camp outs at Happy Day School are super fun! Spending the night with friends and experiencing the great outdoors is a wonderful experience for the children. Roasting marshmallows, listening to campfire stories, participating in a swim meet and/or a water ballet show are  just  a few of the reasons that the over-night camp outs are a huge success!

Archery- Children learn the thrill of shooting an arrow into a target. They learn and practice eye-hand coordination and improve their skill level in archery. Two times a week.

Sports Training-Baseball/Basketball-Participants will take part in games and drills to improve their atheletic skills. Basketball handling, passing, shooting, and rebounding skills. Baseball-Children will participate in base running, bunting, and simple fielding exercises.
